     LIfE Project

  • The Labour Market Information and Employment Service (LIfE) Project, implemented by Ministry of Labour Employment and Social Security (MLESS), Department of Labour with the technical assistance from the International Labour Organization (ILO), Nepal. This project is funded by Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is part of the G20 Development Working Group’s commitment to human resources development in Nepal.Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries (FNCSI) is partnering with District Labour Offices / Employment Service Centre and the LIfE project to implement the project titled “Enhance employment of young job seekers through recruitment events, regular mentoring and apprenticeship training in Collaboration with Employment Service Centers (ESCs)”.This project covers the time period of five months (19 Feb, 2018 -20 July, 2018) and is being implemented in 5 different districts of Nepal i.e. Morang, Kaski, Dhanusha, Rupandehi and Kathmandu. The main objective of this project is to increase the employment rate of young job seekers through mentoring and apprenticeship training and also to highlight the work of ESCs in helping the youths to find the descent job for them.Major activities of the project:
    1. Organize Job Fairs
    2. Facilitate for immediate job matching
    3. Conduct Mentoring workshop through successful entrepreneurs
    4. Facilitate on the job training
